Of course it’s great news that the WGA strike has ended, but now that it’s back to business, a lot of people are wondering what’s up with their favorite shows. Thanks to my friend Jori for sending this link my way. Here’s a page over at TVGuide.com that shows what’s happening…

Here are some quick comments on what I read there (and, keep in mind the page has a note at the top saying that the information is frequently updated, so perhaps some of this info isn’t 100% accurate):
24 - Pushed back to ‘09. Not cool. It’s been so long since we’ve seen Jack Bauer, and even longer since we’ve seen GOOD Jack Bauer.
Battlestar Galactica - Glad to know that at least the first half of this fantastic show’s final season will air as scheduled starting in early April.
Bionic Woman - Wow. Surprised to read that it’s done. For good. My wonderful wife, Amy, says she’s not so surprised, as she wasn’t as much of a fan as I was. Not that I was the biggest fan, but it had raw entertainment potential. Oh well.
Burn Notice - Neat to read that Season 2 will start shooting and airing, potentially, in early summer. This is one of those fun little shows that kinda surprises you, so long as you’re expecting it to be something it’s not.
Chuck - Sigh. Nothing new til fall. That’s a bit painful as this was my favorite new show of this past season. But definitely glad to hear that it IS coming back. Score one for the Nerd Herd!
Heroes - Double-ouch! Nothing new til fall here, either?! Well, on the positive side, they did leave off at a place that sorta made sense to call it quits. Sorta.
House - Four new eps coming our way still this season. Watch them or suffer the wrath of his cane!
Jericho - Oops…I forgot that they started this back up again. Resurrected from the ashes by fans, and now with 7 incoming episodes remaining for the rest of this season.
Journeyman - Also done. For good. Too bad…not the most amazing new show, but it was a decent update to the ‘Quantum Leap’ premise, and it would’ve been nice to find out why it was all happening.
Lost - Seems like this season will end up at about 13 episodes total.
Medium - Again, a shorter than normal season, but still plenty to come.
NCIS - Seems like this one will have nearly a full season when all is said and done. Which means Michael Weatherly can look forward to a goodly number of remaining headslaps from Mark Harmon. Sweet.
The Office - Yay! Looks like half a dozen more eps before the season ends. Which is way better than less than half a dozen more new episodes, if you ask me.
The Riches - Well, a truncated season of 7 episodes is better than none at all.
I’m still interested to find out what the results of the WGA deal are, but I’m glad it’s finally over.
P.S. Happy Valentines Day
